State of the Heart Care has joined #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Occurring this year on November 27, #GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday to kick off the holiday giving season and inspire people to collaborate in improving their local communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.
State of the Heart Care decided to join the movement as a way to introduce the online giving tool Giving Fuel, which makes it easy for donors to contribute to the non-profit organization via phone, computer, or tablet.
This year, all donations State of the Heart Care receives from the #GivingTuesday drive will go directly to our Charity Care program. This program allows us to cover the costs of care for patients whose insurance does not cover hospice care.
