We held our 1st Annual Certified Staff Celebration on March 20th for all staff members who have their certification in Hospice and Palliative Care.
Being board certified plays an increasingly important role and assurance of high standards of care for patients and their loved ones. State of the Heart Care currently has 39 team members who are certified in Hospice and Palliative Care. We recognize the knowledge-intensive requirements and extensive education as well as a strong personal commitment to excellence by our team members.
Certification validates an individual’s competence and knowledge in the specialized area of hospice and palliative care. Certification is highly valued and provides formal recognition of having achieved a standard of knowledge in the specialty of hospice and palliative care.
State of the Heart Care encourages Hospice and Palliative Care Certification to all eligible staff members. To be eligible for examination, the staff member must hold an unrestricted license in the United States or its territories and had 500 hours of experience in 12 months or 1,000 hours in 24 months leading up to their initial certification. Staff members are encouraged to be employed in Hospice Care for at least two years before taking the exam.
We took some time to celebrate our team members who have obtained their Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care and continue to show professionalism and dedication to quality patient care by providing Care Without Limits!
